During NYCxDESIGN 2026, Slash Objects debuted the X Deck within My Astral Mission, an immersive installation at the SoHo showroom. My Astral Mission presents the X Deck as a device for connection. In contrast to a predominantly digital culture, the installation emphasizes the value of the tangible, suggesting that physical objects can intensify sensory experience. Designed to house DJ equipment and records, the X Deck operates as both function and focal point: a gathering structure that grounds the ephemeral nature of music in a defined material presence.
